Fiona Burling
I'm the Director of Thuringowa World Of Learning and love every day and every part of my job. I am a Mum of three children 6 years, 9 years and 12 years. All three of the children enjoy playing sport and being part of a team. My husband and I spend most of our weekends running children to sport and we wouldn't have it any other way.
I worked my way up through the childcare industry starting as Assistant, to a Group Leader, then 2IC and now Director. I have been part of childcare for the past 10 years. Every one of the 10 years has been very rewarding.
There's nothing more rewarding than teaching children in your care new thing's and their parents come into the centre and say: "Man my daughter has learnt another song". Children are like sponges and absorb all that we have to teach them. Each and every day the children bring joy and excitement to our centre.
My hobbies include: sport, gardening, children and craft.
At Thuringowa World of Learning we have 15 staff. They are all dedicated Educators that love their jobs. Our Educators have fantastic relationships with each of our wonderful families that come to our centre and we invite you to come on in and have a look around and meet all our wonderful staff.
